Canon Pixma MG5320 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One Printer color MFP

The Canon Pixma MG5320 Radio set Inkjet Exposure All-In-Peerless Printing machine costs a reasonable $150 (as of August 5, 2011), striking the pricing pleasing spot at the consumer-homeward-bound end of the color inkjet multifunction category. It too manages to lift itself above the bunch a spot aside adding CD/DVD printing capability, plus whatever other improvements.

The ability to print on specially coated CDs Beaver State DVDs is still pretty rare. The Pixma MG5320 comes with a caddy that inserts into a time slot above the output area; also included is an adapter for 3.15-in discs. Canon offers no on-machine storage for the caddy, which is inconvenient. And the disc-impression sue involves a circumstantial successiveness of steps that is confusingly clothed in two places: under the loading/unloading media discussion in the Printing section of the documentation, and under the layout and printing account in the corroboration for the bundled Easy-PhotoPrint EX software. The printer also takes a couple of minutes to fix itself to impress on a disc.

Paper handling is generous for an MFP in that Mary Leontyne Pric rate. The MG5320 has a bottom draftsman for holding up to 150 sheets of letter-size plain newspaper; a raise, 150-sheet upright tray takes everything else. Duplex apartment (deuce-sided) printing is involuntary. The 50-sheet outturn tray is adequately turkey-sized, and it opens automatically when you send a print job. Other features include both USB and wireless connectivity, a USB/PictBridge port, and slots for MultiMedia Card, Computer storage Stick, and SD Card.

The scanner chapeau incorporates the control panel, which includes a 3-inch, tiltable semblance LCD. Navigation is a weensy more complicated than usual: A scrollwheel moves through menus, and an 'Okay' button chooses an item. Canon besides adds iii function buttons for selecting items that express at the bottom of the display. The overall apparatus feels like a few excessively some buttons–but every bit with more things, once you get used to the arrangement, it's workable.

In our tests, we saw impressively fast photo-printing speeds from the Canyon Pixma MG5320, rating it obedient or very moral. Snapshot-size photos printed on letter-sized paper flew KO'd at a rate of 3.3 pages per minute. Text speed was comfortably higher up mediocre at 7.7 ppm. Monochrome written matter hurry was goody-goody.

Output quality was mostly good. At the nonremittal settings we use for examination, text appeared clean crisp and black. Test photos that seemed orangey and too bright on plain newspaper mellowed to realistic tones on Canon's own photo paper. Scans of color photos tended to look dark, but monochrome scans and copies were sharp.

The ink costs are moderate. The separate inks include a $16, 339-paginate blacken pickup (which whole works resolute 4.7 cents per Page) and $14 cyan, Battle of Magenta, and yellow cartridges aeonian between 486 and 530 pages (2.6 to 2.9 cents per page). A quadruplet-color Thomas Nelson Page would cost about 13 cents. The dedicated pic black, as wel $14, lasts for about 555 photo images (operating theatre adds a lowly add up to a typical document).

The Canon Pixma MG5320 spices up the in-between of the inkjet multifunction mob with more or less decent features on top of a competent overall software system. For a similar model with an automatic document feeder, run down the Canyon Pixma MX360.
